About Me

Alexandre Fortuny is a guitarist, psychologist and music teacher. He has received his training from teachers such as Dani Pérez, Jordi Bonell, David Mengual, Albert Bover, Ramon Prats or Jaume Llombart, among others. He has a Bachelor in Psychology from the University of Barcelona and a Bachelor in Music from the Liceu Conservatory in the specialty of Performance in Jazz and Modern Music. He is currently a doctoral candidate in the doctoral programme in Teaching and Learning of Sciences, Languages, Arts and Humanities (DCLAH) at the University of Barcelona.
In the field of teaching, he has taught Jazz Guitar, Ensemble, Composition Techniques, Arrangements, Music Theory and Jazz History. In the field of research, he is a member of the Research Group on Music Education and Innovation (GREMI, University of Barcelona), the International Society for Music Education (ISME), and the Jazz Education Network (JEN).
He has released the album "Miratges" (2020) and "Tríptic" (2024) as a leader, and has performed with musicians such as Toni Vaquer, Pau Sala, Guillem Arnedo or Pedro Campos, among others. He combines his passion for music education and research with various musical projects as a guitarist.
